Taro Fukunaga's Tokyo Tea Room

On a trip to Japan last summer I was lucky enough to be given a private tea ceremony by Taro, a family friend, in the tea room of the apartment he shares with his wife Tomoko. Yes, you read that correctly, he has his own tea room - one whole room of their two room home.

Before the experience of the ceremony, though, I wanted to take a little dive into the audio landscape of Tokyo. Starting with the beautiful cacophonous wall of sound that is the pachinko parlour.
